What is an OSH Coordinator?
An OSH Coordinator is an employee appointed to coordinate occupational safety and health issues at the workplace.
Is appointing an OSH Coordinator mandatory?
Under section 29A, an employer with five or more employees at a workplace outside the classes specified under section 29(1) must appoint one of their employees as an OSH Coordinator. For employers covered by this provision, appointing a Safety and Health Officer at that workplace also meets the requirement.

Employees being considered for the coordinator role, including supervisors, executives and other nominated staff, can enquire about the programme. Share your role and organisation so our team can discuss the course arrangements with you.
Does completing the course automatically appoint me as OSH Coordinator?
Course completion and employer appointment are separate steps. Where section 29A applies, the employer is responsible for appointing one of their employees.
